Craftsmanship and Character
At Solus Painting and Construction Services, our work is more than a trade—it’s a tradition that spans four generations of painters and carpenters. What began over half a century ago in Mexico City has grown into a lasting family legacy of skill, service, and integrity, now continuing proudly in the greater Seattle area with a vision to expand throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Our story begins with my great-grandfather, a master craftsman who built, stained, and varnished fine furniture by hand. His workshop was known for excellence and attention to detail—qualities that became the foundation of our family’s reputation.
His son-in-law, my grandfather, learned from him the art of spraying these finishes and later immigrated to the United States. In Los Angeles during the 1980s and 1990s, he quickly recognized new opportunities in residential and commercial painting. Though the tools had changed—from HVLP sprayers to airless spray systems—his passion for craftsmanship remained the same. He mastered modern techniques, rose through the ranks, and soon became a trusted subcontractor for major painting companies. By the mid-1990s, he founded Rigo’s Painting, building a name synonymous with hard work, quality, and reliability.
My father, Rigo Jr., grew up in that environment. Every summer vacation was spent on the job site, learning the trade under the guidance of his father. Though he once dreamed of becoming a high school Spanish teacher, he ultimately followed his calling into business. His dedication led him to co-found HOA Painting Inc., a respected Southern California company that still operates today under the leadership of my uncles.
As for me, I am honored to carry that torch forward. As a fourth-generation painter and carpenter, I founded Solus Painting and Construction Services in part to honor my grandfather, who passed away in February 2022 at the age of 62—a man whose experience and wisdom continue to guide every brushstroke and hammer swing on every project we undertake. This company exists to uphold the values he, my father, and my great-grandfather embodied: excellence, integrity, and service.

- Painting Projects: Painting Exterior or Interiors of large scale projects has been our bread and butter for over a quarter century. From HOA exterior painting to COA interior common area hallways or walkways, we can do it all. We offer color renderings, color samples, and color consultation.
- Wood Replacement: We are a one stop shop. We can take your project from the initial wood survey to the replacement of any and all rotted wood. 2nd story fascia, window trim, garage door jambs, siding sections, and much more.
- Siding Reclad Projects: There are many reasons why to change out the siding of your entire community. We are experienced professionals from projects beyond small sections of broken or damaged wood siding. For a complete reclad project, we are your team. We can take your wood siding community and update it completely with cementitious (fiber cement) siding and trim.
- Project Managing: We are a licensed GC and therefore offer full service general contracting.
- Decks: From a repair, to an all out rebuild, to coating it with a full system or just top coating it, we will deliver!
- Fences: We can build, reinforce, reconstruct, stain or paint your fences.
- Specialty coatings: Applying industrial-grade paints and coatings for specific purposes, such as weather protection on bridges or water tanks, rust prevention, or adding hygienic surface coatings in medical facilities. We can do it.
- Drywall: From acoustic ceiling removal or encapsulation, small patches, or multi-sheet drywall installation, we have you covered.
- Waterproofing: Applying specialized coatings to protect structures from water damage.
- Window and Door Replacement: Removing and replacing old windows and doors, retrofitting the windows properly in order to not have future issues, and updating your exterior or interior doors.
- Power Wash: Power washing, soft washing, and dry cleaning your buildings for maintenance and preparation for painting is always done professionally and efficiently!
- Unit Turns: ask for unit pricing.
Residential
- Exterior & Interior Painting: Providing free estimates for both painting and remodeling services, for new additions, interior remodels, or whole-home repainting. Power washing is always included in your paint job.
- Cabinet painting: We offer a detailed and specialized service with a careful preparation and a specific application technique for refinishing or painting your cabinets.
- Dry rot repair: Identifying and treating dry rot caused by wood-decay, fungi, termite damage, or other, we then cut out and replace the affected wood to prevent the rot from spreading.
- Epoxy wood repairs: Filling and restoring decayed or damaged wood using epoxy consolidants and fillers. This can strengthen the affected area to be stronger than the original wood. This is typically done on protected historic houses.
- General construction and remodeling: May combine painting with other related services, such as kitchen and bath remodels, carpentry, tile work, siding, countertops, cabinets, and flooring. Structural repairs are also available.
- Siding and trim repair: Specialists address cosmetic and structural damage to a building's exterior woodwork. This includes replacing or restoring compromised siding panels, soffits, fascia, and trim to maintain the building's weather resistance and curb appeal.
- Window and door frame repair: These areas are particularly vulnerable to rot and pest damage. Specialists like us can repair or replace rotted sills, jambs, and frames using epoxy filler or solid wood inserts. They can also install proper flashing and waterproofing to prevent future damage.
- Deck and porch repair: This includes replacing rotted or damaged floorboards, posts, and railings to restore the safety and appearance of outdoor structures.
- Interior Finish Carpentry: New additions or simply wanting to update your home’s, replacing baseboard, doors, window sills, stools and aprons, window wraps, window and door trim, crown molding, chair rail, boarding, we do it all.
Commercial and Industrial
- Large structures: Painting bridges, water towers, and large buildings requires specialized equipment and safety procedures.
- Parking lots: Pavement striping and painting.
- Tilt Up Walls: Commercial tilt up building painting and power washing.
- Shopping Centers: Interior unit turning and exterior painting. Stucco repairing or siding replacing.
